The ANHA is a regional configuration based on the Nucleus for European Modelling of the Ocean (NEMO), which is a state-of-art modeling framework widely used for oceanographic research, operational oceanography, seasonal forecasting and climate studies. It includes five major components,
  • the blue ocean (ocean dynamics)
  • the white ocean (sea ice)
  • the green ocean (biogeochemistry)
  • the adaptive mesh refinement software
  • the assimilation component
  • The ocean ocean component of NEMO has been developed from the Oc ́ean PArall ́elis ́e (OPA), which is a primitive equation model for both global and regional ocean circulation simulations1.
